I Won! – The dance of the Little Snail

I Won! – The Little Snail is a dance performance created for the youngest audiences, while also offering as liberating an experience for adults. One day, the Little Snail decides to peek out of its shell and take its first steps toward the unknown, that is the outside world. The performance presents the moments of discovering the world and awakening to it through dance, in a condensed and emotionally engaging way for children.

Just as the snail emerges from its shell, or the cocooned caterpillar unfolds, just as a baby opens its eyes and its vision becomes clearer, and leaves the safe embrace of its mother to explore the world – so too does the little snail girl. After some playful struggle, she finally comes out of her cozy nook and sets off on her adventurous journey. Along the way, she is helped by a mysterious backpack that seems to hold everything. Where she ends up and how her day unfolds is revealed during the performance.

Rita Góbi’s latest choreography for children is a visually rich and humorous piece. With its simple yet expressive tools, abstract movement and connection with the audience, it speaks about the freedom of discovering the world while consistently maintaining a child’s perspective.
