Short choreography, premier at Beograd Miniatures, 2009
In vain you bathe your face in your self. You need the other. For a face-wash. For the sweating job of unravelling. Rubbed together, fraying, we moult from one skin to another. It is all the same. It is the input of energy that matters, not the direction. The aim is transformation: the performance is governed by metamorphoses into new and new forms. Every single encounter and break up takes place so that we can bite our share of power from the tension generated by the change to help us move on. Man-Woman. Woman-Man. Man-Man. Woman-Woman. Haphazard formations. Power. Violence. The forever enjoyable, pulsating game of above and below. Woman demands. Man backs out. Temporarily. For life.
„Rita Góbi’s performance raises the ball of humor, which is very rare on dance theater stages. She is an exhilarating guest, with a uniquely humorous show.”
In 2009 Rita Góbi created her short choreography called Tachyon. This 10 minutes long piece won the Audience Award at the Beograd Miniatures Choreography Competition in 2009 and was shortlisted for Arte Laguna Award (among the 10 best performances).
