site-specific contemporary dance performance
In the performance, the contemporary movements and traditional folk music appear at the same time, focusing on enjoying life.
"There's a flower I know well,
Prickly thorns inbetween it grows,
And the leafs, the leafs are red,
Tell the name of this sweet rose"
In the middle of the red-glowing Sun stands a flower: a playful child, a gracefully swaying girl, a mature woman, and a bent mother — all and none. There is no single solution, the range of possible answers is colorful, the question is open, as is the circle of spectators embracing the scene, the garden: the performance invites without words, into whose universe anyone can enter, watch, think, feel. The sometimes repetitive, other times sudden, surprising movements were made during the quarantine, and they are looking for the possibility and joy of opening, moving even in confinement.
“The graceful, wild, sometimes erotic movements of Rita Góbi's dance performance also remind us: sexuality is present all the time, we can't forget about it for a moment. After all, a woman is a swaying, sometimes passionate tuft in the middle of a flower, who loves, who exists, but by no means speaks.” (Zsófia Bálint: Kísérletek)
